Unbelievably, Salon for the City is 50 this month. Come help us celebrate in the company of TEN of OUR favourite Londoners talking about THEIR favourite Londoners in a very special star-studded evening of words, music, song and prizes and of course .. Hendricks.
STOP PRESS: We will be joined by the Soho Hobo himself, Mr TIM ARNOLD playing some of his favourite City songs.

It started as an idea in the pub one night but now after FIVE YEARS, the Salon has become one the most well-loved of all London events. We originally planned to hold just 4 but, due to popular demand, we have just kept going and going. 
For our Fiftieth, we have planned a very special evening with a selection of Salon alumni for our friends: 

MARVEL as the time travelling Dr. Matt Green takes us on a whirlwind our through the history of the city from the prehistoric to the present - in 20 minutes! 

GASP at 5 minute stories of ten stellar Londoners with speakers Ross Macfarlane, Essie Fox, Amber Butchart, Matt Brown, Adam Cumiskey, Celine Hispiche, Travis Elborough, Caroline Rance, Anthony Clayton and a Mystery Guest.
SING-ALONG to music hall favourites with Kate Garner and + a secret musical guest.
WIN in our fiendish Salon quiz hosted by Stephen Coates

Rossella Black is a librarian, co-creator and long time host Salon for the City.
Dr.Matt Green is a writer, broadcaster, writer and creator of the Unreal City Audio guides.
Ross Macfarlane is a writer and research engagement officer at the Wellcome Library
Essie Fox is an award winning author and historian.
Amber Butchart is a fashion historian, writer and broadcaster
Matt Brown is a writer and founder and editor-at-large of Londonist.
Adam Cumiskey edits BBC's Newsnight and the Today program.
Celine Hispiche is an actor, playwright and musician
Travis Elborough is a writer, broadcaster and cultural commentator.
Caroline Rance is curator of The Quack Doctor blog and is a medical historian.
Anthony Clayton is an author, researcher and librarian.
Kit Cox is an actor, author and steam punk character.
Kate Garner is a musical hall and cabaret singer and songwriter.

Hendricks are purveyors of a most unique and curious gin and have supported Salon for the City since we began.
